Stockholm & Malmo

A great thing in doing a job which sometimes require you to travel is that sometimes You get to locations being 'not the first on the list'. Don't take it wrong: as far as I saw it, Sweden is a wonderful country. But if it wasn't for the business needs, probably never would have visited Malmo. Or, OK,  maybe just after a very long time, but for sure not when being that enthusiastic to go out for a night shoot when its around 10 Celsius - below zero...
Well, the fact that during the work hours I was rather busy, surely helped a lot :-)
Anyway, the old practice - that whenever I need to do a business-trip to somewhere, I do a 'reckon' whether it worth to make a holiday trip to or not - worked out all well. It's surely not in our neighborhood or a frequent tourist attraction, but still this town has some lovely details: my favorite is for sure the small lighthouse at the harbor:

Still attractive in daytime:

Earlier the same winter of 2010 I had to visit Stockholm too, though I wasn't that lucky there: it was freezing cold and the 'special' gloves I've packed for my after-work photo walk, someone stole from my baggage :-(
While I had another pair of with me, sadly those were too big to handle the machine in, so I had to do it barehanded. Which of course - apart from almost making frostbite injury to my hands - decreased both the experience and the quality of pictures too. But of course this doesn't mean Stockholm would not be a beautiful city, worth to visit, no! Even the small part I was able to visit, convinced me that besides Malmo,  Stockholm too has a sure place on my 'to be visited' list!
