Technic-kits were pretty much always my favorites since I got the very first, and it turns out they really haven't bored at Lego at all in the meantime upgrading both the features and look. We've go for the more tricky black background setup this time. (With a white one, you just point one - or more - flashes on it, nuke it and get a clear nice white background, but with black - if you want to get really nice black, you'll learn fast what the word 'gobo' stands for... :-))
My most advanced kit was a truck with pneumatic backside, had to pump one cylinder to get the other lift or lower it. Now these are not just look more awesome, but can do more as well - not to mention you don't have to 'pump' anything, just turn switches or push buttons...
...and replace batteries in a quicken pace :-) This baby above can be remote controlled, movement and upper structure part as well! The truck below - impressive one, isn't it? - can even lower the side-supports remote controlled as well as open (!) the folded crane and use it.
Last, but not least, my favorite - the Unimog: in addition to the pneumatic (no pumping, but a small compressor!), pretty much all parts working (sterring too, of course) so as the 3 (!) differentials...
