Worn

Just got some little spare time to play around at home in the 'makeshift studio'. I've planned to do this shot for a time, just wasn't sure when and how exactly to start doing it... :-)
Nothing ground-breaking - just like the well-worn, shabby look of these shoes, thought these might look nice on a photo too.

First I thought the backdrop will be some silver (or maybe golden) cardboard, but finally decided to go for black. It's a bit more tricky to light when you want to keep your background dark - to light the subject but not the backdrop is a great exercise with 'gobo-s'. I think the hard light of the bare-head strobe just fits the rough look, isn't it?
So I thought to emphasize the 'factory-image' a bit more, adding some screws and bolts to the 'scene'.
(Hardly could call it a scene I know - but anyway.)
