While our main sport-activity is running, in such a nice season of the year, couldn't miss out hiking to see the autumn-face of the woods.
Luckily, there are 'organized-tours' for inexperienced hikers like us: same local organization we've run with, offered an opportunity of various length paths to take just outside of Budapest in the region (hills) called Pilis.
 |
| all 3 paths started through and old stone pit - just north-west of Budapest 3. district |
 |
| bit of 'Indiana Jones feeling' :-) |
We took the mid-lenght path of 19km - to see the 'fake fort of Eger'. This is a camouflage fort made for the filming of
'Egri csillagok' near
Pilisborosjenő.

| the 'fake' fort of Eger from the top of nearby height |
 |
| same from close - note the ferro-concrete on the inside :-) |
 |
| from this view, it could even be a real ruin... |
The weather was just awesome - not too hot, but still sunny and dry. Ideal for any outdoor activities.
