Croatia

2013 was a busy year for us - very busy, hence the reason of not posting so long - but finally were able to finally give a visit to Croatia in the long weekend of August 20th.

Staying near to the historical small city of Porec, it was obvious we started our discovery there (in the evening after the long drive):

...but returned the other day to see the lovely streets and old architectures in daylight too.

Luckily, before getting tired of thinking what to see in the limited time-frame and whether to go by car or use alternative transportation, an 'agitator-guy' found us on the beach, offering one-day boat trips around. This is an easy way to see the nearby attractions of the seaside with minimum efforts :-)

This way we saw the 'Limski fjord' with the 'pirate caverns' - some owners of local tourist-boats are funny enough to have the Jolly Rogers flag pinned up.

Also the wonderful Rovinj:

again the narrow streets, full of tourist in this part of the year:

Seagulls are so domesticated, like if they had a watch to alarm when lunchtime is coming :-)

On the way back, stopped in Vrsar too - home of the thrown icecream.

The climbing of so many stairs pays off: there's a wonderful view from the top of Vrsar.

After the successful visit we got another evening to spend with a nice walk around, taking those usual shots of sunset and the Moon:
